TOPIC: NO FRUITLESS EFFORTS
SCRIPTURE: “The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the man at the pool of Bethesda told the tale of how he stayed at the pool, whilst in his affliction. That man spoke of how he tried severally to get into the pool, but never succeeded. He was caught in a cycle of making efforts, but never achieving his desired results. He tried several times to get into the pool when the angel stirred the waters, but each time, his efforts were fruitless.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every cycle of efforts without results is broken over your life. Every cycle of efforts that leave you empty-handed, is broken over your life. Every cycle of trying without succeeding, is broken over your life. Every cycle of making endless attempts, without hitting your targets, is broken. Every cycle of results that mock your efforts, is over. Every cycle of working hard but gaining nothing, is over.
The man at the pool kept making efforts to get into the pool each time the angel stirred the waters, but he never succeeded. He tried again and again to hit his target, but the same bad outcomes became his portion repeatedly. Hear me as I hear the Lord: no negative outcome will become status quo in your life. No negative outcome will greet your efforts again and again. No negative outcomes will come to you again and again.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are in your season of perpetual results. You are in your season of results that will come again and again. You are in your season of results that will come from your efforts. Your labours will never be in vain. Your efforts will no longer be fruitless. Your efforts will no longer leave you empty handed. Your efforts will no longer keep you at the same spot. Your efforts will bring you results that will warm your heart.
The cycle of fruitless efforts, is broken forever in your life. No longer shall it be said that you laboured and had no results to show for it.
Isaiah 65: 22 says: “They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.”
Declare With Me: The cycle of fruitless efforts is broken, in Jesus’ name!
